The daughter of a friend. Rachael worked with the artist in the 1980s and was a close friend of the artist until she moved back home to be with family. Mr. Van Voorhees saw a photograph of the girl and asked her mother if she would mind if he painted it. It is uncelar if she ever saw the finished painting.

This was one of Mr. Van Voorhees' early works while he was living in Dallas. Oil on canvas done entirely with a palette knife.
